A Texas native, Doak Lambert grew-up with an interest in the cattle business. He pursued that desire, while attending Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. While in college, he also became interested in the auction business and in 1986, graduated from the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, Missouri.
Lambert Auction Company was started in 1986 with a focus on purebred cattle auctions and over the years, Doak Lambert has presided over some of the most prestigious sales in U.S. cattle circles, as well as some of the most high profile cattle events. In 1992, Lambert began adding other type of auctions to his business including automobile, equipment and real estate. He also has served as the auctioneer at several of the major, high profile livestock shows and is also currently one of the auctioneers for the nationally televised Barrett-Jackson Classic Automobile Sale.
Today, Lambert and his wife Wendy reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and are parents to three active children. They are involved in their church and community and continue working to build Lambert Auction Company. Wendy, who is a licensed auctioneer as well, conducts charity and benefit auctions throughout the DFW Metroplex and North Texas area.
Lambert Auction Company has been built by Doak and Wendy progressing from just a few auctions a year to one of the most successful auction companies in the nation.
